  1. A Simple but Complete RTS Game

*It is hard to find good, comprehensive tutorials in C++ for a solid RealTime Strategy game (RTS). ENGINE TO BE DECIDED NEARER TIME, UNITY OR UNREAL.

-Spawning multiple units at the same time.
    -Formation changes.
    -Tactical pathfinding.
-Tactical map analysis using influence mapping.
    -Minimap.
    -Streaming in large battlefield maps.
    -1 Vs 1 multiplayer code.
-Saving and loading the game state.
-Simple game DVR for recording and replaying a game session.
    - Ability to edit terrain at runtime (originally in merged tycoon game idea)

          • Game design patterns and game programming design patterns

Merged with "Game code architecture and patterns for Unity."

Wouldn't be awsome if we could learn some standard solutions for game design and game programming?

We just got a litte bit of it with the "state machine" and the "singleton" in the Unity course but I'm sure that there is much more to learn about!

                  • Inside-out Game Development with Panda & Python

https://www.panda3d.org is a free open-source game framework. You can modify and extend the engine in Python and C++.

Beautiful results can be achieved (see their website), and this could be a fantastic way to learn to code and get a whole new view on game engines.

Usually you spend your time writing C++, and modding in a scripting language. With Panda3D it's the other way round, you spend most of your time in clean and comfortable Python, and extend in C++

                    Give the idea some love?

                        • GameDesign: Getting Things Done with Kanban & Scrum

One of the biggest stakeholders in the game creation when you are a beginner is the lack of knowledge of planning and execution. Making games is way more than just know how to use a game engine.

I would love to see what Ben's have to show us how he plan's the whole creation of a game. Since the creation of a living game design document, programming planing, kanban (with trello maybe?) and Scrumm for getting things done.

This idea could be done together with the highly voted "RPG Game like Sacred or Diablo in Unity"

                              • Unity and Blender Developement Course With Sections Separated By Job i.e. Programmer, Level Designer, and Artist with a Round Up Project

I think all of us have taken many of Ben's course where we develop a game by ourselves. BUT, in the real world, that does not happen, wherein a team, which is curated by a project manager, contains programmers, level designers, and artists, at the minimum amount for indie titles.

We would love to see a Unity and Blender Game Studio Development course wherein a group at my college can be on the same course with me but we can split up via job positions i.e. the listed above.

We would want to see how we can best integrate each…

                                  • Clash Of Clans Clone

The idea would be a simple 2D isometric game mimicking Clash Of Clans. We would just have a few of unit types and Town Hall levels, but we would focus on creating a complete set of mechanics.

                                    • I want to learn Maya and Zbrush

I'd like to learn Maya and learn to animate and texture various objects to make them game ready. Similar to the Blender course (which is awesome) I just can't stand Blender with it's horrible UI and i enjoy Maya much more. I would just like a good teacher to help me master it (hint hint)
Maybe learn to create characters, buildings, furniture and cars etc.
I would also love to learn how to texture things from sketchup and make them game ready too (since architecture within sketchup is faaar quicker and easier) but that would just be an added bonus…

                                      • Advanced Course: Fighting Game (Learning about managing States, and frame specific programming).

I cannot find this course anywhere. I understand that it's an extremely complex and time consuming to even make a few characters (Due to Modelling, Animation, Rigging, Programming etc). But I think it's a really good topic that will help boost everyone's game design, and programming abilities very well.

I suggest 2 projects for this course:

                                        1. 2D Fighting Game
                                        2. 3D Fighting Game (Akin to Devil May Cry, God of War but not that complex).

                                        1. The first project can consist of only 2 characters and a moving parallax background. The characters will have frame specific combos and Input…

                                        • More 2D games for Unity follow up course

I haven't finished the Unity course yet (going to start on Zombie FPS). But so far in the Unity course I found the 2D games the most enjoyable.

I'd love to see a follow up Unity course with more 2D games that we can recreate, make our own.
